I love Red Lick, Texas! I was born and raised here. My family helped to found the community of Red Lick. Generations of my family have come through Red Lick since its beginning in the late 1800s.
Teaching has been a part of my life for over 20 years. My experience in the classroom covers multiple subjects, but social studies fits me the best. I am proud to be an American and it is so much fun teaching about our wonderful nation!
Motherhood has been the most amazing and fulfilling part of my life. Allison, Martin, & Anna are all lifelong Mustangs and they enjoy coming back to visit to see their former teachers and cheer on the Mustangs!
I love spending time at home with my family and our pets. We have 3 dogs, one kitten, and a gecko. I enjoy all our animals and I have a hard time avoiding adoption of any animal that needs a home. (No, please don't bring me your free puppies & kittens)
When I think about how much I've been blessed with, I can't help but be humbled by it. I know that there are so many people around the world who are hurting or are in need. I hope that you think about how fortunate you are to be here in this place, too. Life is precious. I am saved by the grace of God, and I intend to use the time He has given me to show love to the people around me. Every day reminds me of the shortness of life so I try to do something special for someone each day. I hope you will, too!

Are you looking for information about my class?
All of my classroom information can be found in the Social Studies Google Classroom.
The BEST way to know what is happening in our classroom is to ask your child. Your child can log in to their google classroom from home on any device. They can show you all of the things we are doing. You will find assignments, announcements, and even extra credit opportunities. It’s a good practice to have your child do this daily at home so that you will be informed and involved with the things we are learning.
If you need assistance, you can watch the video below on how to use the google classroom.
