Today Red Lick Robotics wrapped up their 2023-2024 season at the Region 8 Service Center in Pittsburgh, TX. Three teams were invited to attend the Texas Youth Robotics Association Championship tournament for the game "Hi, Bye, Pizza Pie".
Pizza, Pizza, consisting of Ezra Dawson, Ethan Kessler, and Josiah Robinson worked hard but unfortunately did not make it to the finals bracket.
Teams Squirrel Bot (Everett DeGroot and Max Sowell) and Dough Spinners (Cooper Hampton, Ashton Smallwood, and Grant Swenson) made it to the finals bracket, and there they created an alias. This alias earned the two teams second place overall.
This has been an exciting year for Red Lick Robotics. Overall, this year's teams have won 1 second place trophy in regular season, 1 first place trophy in regular season, 1 Judge's Award in regular season, 3 championship invitations, a state invitation, a state Judge's Award, and second place at the championship invitational. What an exciting time to be a Mustang!
