The Lady Mustangs hit the road last night as they traveled to Pewitt, and both the 7th and 8th grade teams continued their impressive season with another pair of strong victories.
7th Grade Girls
Red Lick 46 — Pewitt 2
The 7th grade Lady Mustangs came out focused and energetic, quickly taking control of the game and never looking back. Aubree Castle led the offense with 16 points, while Paisley York added 10. Jaimie Irby followed with 8, Piper Rushing scored 6, Lorelei DePriest added 4, and Sofia Carrillo finished with 2.
In addition to their scoring output, the 7th graders showed impressive versatility. Players rotated through multiple positions throughout the game and performed well in every role. Their teamwork stood out all night, especially in how they worked together for rebounds and to keep possessions alive. Their strong defense allowed very few scoring opportunities for Pewitt, making it another complete and connected effort from this talented group.
8th Grade Girls
Red Lick 25 — Pewitt 10
The 8th grade Lady Mustangs kept the momentum rolling with a solid 25–10 win. Ashlynn Irby led the scoring with 9 points, while Sy Endsley contributed 8. Arielle Hildebrand and Sadie Heiner each added 4 to round out the scoring.
The team’s defense was outstanding from start to finish: closing down driving lanes, contesting shots, and forcing Pewitt to work for every possession. Their collective pressure forced turnovers and prevented Pewitt from getting comfortable on offense. On the other end, the girls showed patience and control, making smart decisions and capitalizing on their opportunities. Every player contributed to the win through hustle, steady teamwork, and strong ball movement.
The Lady Mustangs will be back on the road next Monday, December 15, 2025, at Harts Bluff. The 7th grade tips off at 5:00 PM, with the 8th grade game to follow. Come out and watch the girls in action!
Go Lady Mustangs!
