Girls vs. Detroit

The Lady Mustangs traveled to Detroit on Thursday, January 16th, with both the 7th and 8th grade teams competing in district matchups.

7th Grade Girls

Red Lick 18 — Detroit 27

The 7th grade Lady Mustangs fought hard but came up short in an 18–27 loss. Red Lick trailed by 16 points going into halftime but showed great heart by battling back in the second half. Despite the strong effort, it wasn’t enough to overcome Detroit, and the girls took their first tough loss of the season. Every girl contributed effort and energy on both ends of the floor.

Paisley York led the way with 9 points. Aubree Castle added 4 points, Piper Sams scored 3, and Sofia Carrillo rounded out the scoring with 2 points.

8th Grade Girls

Red Lick 17 — Detroit 8

The 8th grade Lady Mustangs came to play and delivered a strong performance in a 17–8 victory. The team brought intense defense and applied consistent pressure, holding Detroit to single digits while creating scoring opportunities throughout the game. Every girl contributed to the win with energy, effort, and teamwork.

Sy Endsley led the Lady Mustangs with 7 points. Brynlee Brush added 6 points, while Sadie Heiner and Arielle Hildebrand each contributed 2 points.

The Lady Mustangs will travel with the Mustangs next week to Clarksville for two games. Girls will tip off at 5:00 PM, with the boys’ game to follow. Come out and support your Lady Mustangs!
