The first day of school is August 7th!
Returning student paperwork is now available through Parent Portal. This process will need to be completed before Meet the Teacher on August 5th.
Students will not be allowed to receive their schedule or find out who their teacher is unless this online paperwork is complete.
Computers will be available at the schools, if needed.
If you need assistance logging in to your Parent Portal account, contact your campus secretary at 903-838-8230, option 1 for Elementary, option 2 for Middle School. If you have never created a Parent Portal account, you will need to contact the campus to receive your student's portal ID so that you may link your account to their information.

The 5th and 6th grade participated in reading challenges throughout the school year. Students who completed the challenge were rewarded with a sundae party and extra recess on Wednesday. Great job readers!

For the first time in Red Lick history, we have three cheerleaders trading in their middle school cheer uniforms for high school cheer uniforms. These three girls have worked extremely hard to achieve their goal of cheering on their high school teams under the "Friday Night Lights". Natalie Craigen and Jemma Hickman will be continuing their cheerleading careers at Hooks High School. Teagan Gustafson will continue her cheerleading career at Texas High. These three girls were originally part of the very first Red Lick Cheer Team and are continuing to help pave the way for their younger teammates. "My goal for the Red Lick Cheer Program is to provide our students with the skills needed to be able to pursue and continue their dreams of cheering at their high school. I am beyond honored to be a part in helping these girls achieve this for their upcoming freshman year. I can not express how proud I am of these three girls and look forward to attending their high school games over the next 4 years." -Mrs. Hall

Happy School Principal Day!

Last pep rally of the year will be here befor you know it.

5th and 6th grade GT class has been planning, designing, and creating their own board games. Their goal is to create a game complete with rules, instructions, and all the pieces for other students to play. The games will be completed and presented to the 7th and 8th GT students as marketable games for others to play! It has been a rowdy and fun experience!

Hello Herd!
As you are well aware, April 8th will be the day of the solar eclipse. We are planning to have school and participate in the eclipse. We have been teaching lessons and we have purchased glasses for all the students and staff. There is an "opt-out" form coming home if you do not want your child outside watching the eclipse. Each campus will take those students to the cafeteria with supervision.
With yesterday's announcement from TISD about their closure, we are going to give another option to our families as well. If you are concerned about the safety of your child, on April 8th, or you want to experience the eclipse with your child, the district has an option for you to check your child out of school after 10 am and attendance will not count against them. We would like them here in the morning to count towards our state funding but also want to work with our families. We believe we have a safe plan but understand if you are concerned. If you are interested in this option, please contact your campus so that they can plan accordingly. We will be able to create a list at each campus and expedite the process.
If you come to collect your child on Monday, we hope you enjoy your time with them. If you choose to leave them here to experience the eclipse with us, please know they are safe. Take care and have a blessed Spring Break.

If you are interested in being on the dance team NEXTyear(5th-8th grades), There is a mandatory parent meeting on April 9.

Join us for a day filled with dancing!
